Whimbrel on the Teifi

For a few days up to 40 whimbrel have been seen around the Teifi Estuary. The following images are of 2 of the 3 whimbrel perched in front of the Curlew Hide at the Teifi Marshes reserve and a flight shot of a group of whimbrel on the Teifi:

Garganey at Teifi Marshes

This male garganey was being very co-operative in front of the Kingfisher hide:

This male has now been joined by a female and was last seen on the square pond near the car park.

Ring Ouzel at Mwnt

Managed to catch up with one of the ring ouzels at last. This is my first view of this bird - well worth the hours waiting - in the cold! Taken with my Canon 7d 500mm lens with 1.4 TC ISO400 f5.6 @ 1/800sec.

Ceibwr and Gwbert

When we arrived at Ceibwr this bird was walking down the road towards us. I think it is a rock pipit:
